Help Elect Your Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District Trustees
Time for Change
The Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District is governed by a 5 person Board of Trustees. The Board oversees the writing of the tax levy and a ~$26 million budget and makes major decisions and purchases for the District. The Board is currently appointed by the DuPage County Chairwoman. Residents cannot vote for or against the trustees, who decide how much to tax those residents and how to spend their money. Other local boards with taxing authority, such as the Lisle Community District 202 and Woodridge School District 68 Boards of Education, the Park District and Library Boards are elected by their residents. The LWFPD is one of only 2 active Fire Protection Districts left in DuPage County with an appointed board. The rest are elected. A ballot proposition with vote of 'YES' will change the LWFPD Board to an elected Board. First, your petition signature is needed to ensure the proposition is placed on the ballot for the March 19, 2024 DuPage County general primary election. Your Taxes: Your Choice!
